Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to track and report website traffic. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time using the preferences available in our Cookie Settings tool.
Microsoft Clarity
If you allow Analytics in our Cookie Settings, we also use Microsoft Clarity. It is not loaded until you do. Clarity is a behavioural analytics service provided by Microsoft. It records how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, taps, mouse movements, scrolling and how pages render, and turns this into session recordings, heatmaps and aggregated usage insights. We use it to improve the usability, performance and conversion experience of the website, for example to find pages that are confusing or forms that are hard to complete.
Clarity masks text typed into form fields and drop-down selections in every masking mode, and by default also masks content it classifies as sensitive, such as numbers and email addresses. We additionally mask our booking calendar. According to Microsoft, masked content is not uploaded to Clarity. Recordings can still show other page content you saw and how you moved through the page.
We do not use Clarity for advertising and tell Clarity that advertising storage is denied. Clarity is not loaded if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Cookies set by Clarity:
- _clck (first-party, 1 year): keeps a Clarity user ID and preferences for this website so that page views can be attributed to the same visitor.
- _clsk (first-party, 1 day): connects multiple page views into a single session recording.
- Microsoft may also set or read cookies on its own domains, such as MUID, CLID, ANONCHK, MR and SM. See Microsoft's Clarity cookie documentation.
Retention: According to Microsoft, Clarity keeps recordings for 30 days, while favourited recordings and a random sample of recordings may be kept for up to 9 months, and heatmaps are available for up to 9 months. Microsoft stores Clarity data in its Azure cloud service.
Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your Analytics consent at any time in our Cookie Settings. When you do, we tell Clarity that consent is denied, delete the _clck and _clsk cookies and reload the page without Clarity. Withdrawing does not delete data collected before you withdrew; contact us at legal@myrmidon.tech about that data. Our website cannot delete cookies on Microsoft's own domains; you can remove them in your browser settings.
Microsoft's processing is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Microsoft also explains what data Clarity collects.
